1. +1

Bono has been rich for 30+ years.
He doesn't take into equation how these things affect middle and lower class Europeans.
  2. I don't know how I feel about that^^^

I think Bono's ideas have good intentions behind them but don't take everything into consideration.

Yes, good intentions do not always work out perfectly.
  4. Yeah Bono is an idealist but not a realist. I mean this specifically if people who follow Bono's ideas in these war zones would die and Bono would not hold himself responsible
  5. Bono doesn't even follow his own ideas on this. As a Bosnian once told me "you do it first"
  6. I must be missing something - what did Bono suggest in these recent articles that are so bad?

I'm sorry, but this is straight up wrong. If you look at all the work Bono has done through Red, ONE, and Data, his partnership with Amnesty International, his phone calls to politicians during ZooTV, and even his most recent trip to the refugee camps, it should be clearly obvious that Bono's ideas are grounded in reality. In fact, most of the lyrical themes seen in U2's music are grounded in reality.

Bono has done an amazing job of standing for the powerless while making the privileged feel uncomfortable in their own skin.

Seeing as how much of their lyrical content is about God, not so sure this is true (about it being grounded in reality). But very much agreed on the humanitarian stuff.
