    We Will Rock You
  2. I don't think we need a new U2 cause our guys aren't about to be put into a bin. Wait until October and then pick up your jaw from the floor.
  3. I think it's awesome that someone in the music industry wants to be like U2, with their own material. Sure, U2 is still around, but they're making new sounds right now. Doesn't it seem extrordinary that someone appreciates Zoo TV as much as we do here? I don't think of this as copying, but more as appreciation and as a tribute. Besides, the way the world is now and the way it was during Zoo TV seem so similar...

Beat ya' to it! I also entered to win tickets to the free MSG show on July 23rd. My birthday is the day before the show! It would be a great presant to myself if I won! I don't know why most of you don't have a liking for them. They are my third fav. band. (Right behind The Beatles, who are my second. Guess who my favorite is )
  5. Exceptional video, I love it! Don't know why people are complaining about them ripping off U2. God knows our boys have been ripping off songs and ideas for ages as well.
"Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief" wasn't it?
But I love it, very Achtung Baby! Fun, playful, artistic, and a serious and dark message underneath. Chris and the boys never ceases to amaze me. Can't wait for the album!

    The Village People?
  7. i think it's more an oasis sound (violet hill )
    than a U2 song
  8. Great video I must say. Of course it's ZooTV-ish, but I don't mind. I love Violet Hill, and the way Coldplay seems to choose a new way, like U2 did in the 90's. We mustn't complain about that. It's better than remain playing the same style.

Coldplay is among Oasis,RHCP, REM for me. Only U2's greater

Doesn't the theme look a little, 'familiar'? I guess the ZOO didn't close.

sorry if this isn't in the right place Come to think of it, this should go in the "Coldplay new Album" forum, or whatever its called.

I think U2 songs are much better!
  11. May 30, 2008 issue of Entertainment Weekly:

"It's a nod to U2's "40" and the Smashing Pumpkins' "1979. I don't think you can try to be the best band in the world without having a song that's a number." -- Chris Martin, on "42," one of the tracks on the new album
