    any news, Jeremy?
  8. Thanks for checking in!

I've had a rough couple of days in rehab lately, mostly just the "realness" of the situation setting in. I've strained a muscle in my shoulder/back that I have to use to frequently transfer from my bed to my wheelchair, so everytime I have to move that muscle, I feel pain. Not exactly what I want to deal with when I'm having to depend on my upper-body so much to learn to walk again.

Without going into TOO much detail, I've also got some infections on my body which really are just a hassle to deal with and slow down the rehab process as well. I'm doing my best to keep a positive attitude about everything, but I'm also allowing myself to admit that I can have bad days, that it's okay to get frustrated with the situation. All in all, I'm doing well I think. The doctors, therapists, and my family all seem to be encouraged at the progess that I make over time, but it's getting harder and harder for me to compare a change from one day to another. The days seem to all blend together and I can't remember how much leg movement I had a week ago, although everyone says it is getting stronger.

But, I try and stay encouraged.....show off my toe wiggling to whomever will stop to watch, and just know that "It's just a moment, this time will pass."

  9. I'm sorry to hear about those infections and your sore muscles slowing down the process, but I'm also glad to read that you have a very good attitude on this all! getting frustrated from time to time is normal, I guess, but it's great to see how far you've come already one can't stay optimistic -all- the time, but you're doing a good job just hang in there, we're all with you!

  10. I understand it can be quite frustrating if you got the feeling that nothing changes, that there is no progress in it. But I think it is! I believe that you'll be walking, running and standing in a short ammount of time. Just keep believing in yourself and everything will be okay!
  11. You will be able to surf again soon, mate! Keep hoping and go on!
  12. you've got to keep yourself together , you got stuck in a moment ,but you can get out of it. am I allowed to changed the lyrics for the situation?
