1. That's a matter of taste, mate Depending on the guitar, a bit of this-has-been-heavily-used aspect is really good, but I would never buy a cracked, scratched and beaten up guitar.
  2. My bad Sergio!!! I actually know your name (real name, according to your username), i was just half asleep hahah, sorry dude. How's the Gibson treating you? You still playing it or did your grandpa or whatever take it back? lol.
  3. Gear notes from seeing the Get On Your Boots video this morning...

Looks like Adam is using an Epiphone Rivoli (which he's mentioned in interviews as being used in the studio before) or perhaps it's a Gibson EB-2.

Looks like Larry is using the silver sparkle kit used at the Lincoln Memorial gig.

Edge is doing that 'Edge thang' with his Gibson LP Custom. Looks like there is a Marshall, Fender and fawn covered Vox AC30 amp there.

Cool video. Like the song more and more. (And I liked it already!)

It's an Epi, I've seen the brand in some part of the videoclip

Exactly the same here. Very amen
  5. I'm sure I've seen the classical Epiphone "€" on the head of the bass

I dont know about interviews or quotes. I just now that bass kicks my ass everytime
  6. It looks pretty great. Looking forward to his feature in Bass Player (assuming they do one, they have the last two album cycles) to hear a bit about what was used, his sparkle Fender Jazz, the burgundy mist Fender Jazz used in the U2.com vids/presumeably on album cuts...

    Should be cool.
  7. It looks PRETTY

  8. adam's bass totally made me go 'heeey, look at that!' - really cool and different-looking from the ones he used before me likes.
  9. The same here First thing I though was "What the hell??? Is that really a bass?? It's a Gibson ES-335 to my eyes!!" But I eventually saw that 4 strings lol
  10. So a few questions have come up about the white (white-ish) amp seen in the Olympic Studio pictures and at the Lincoln Memorial "We Are One" show.

It seems from both pictures that it belongs to Bono (or is set up to be used by Bono). That said, seems there is one to the left of Edge's Marshall amp in the "Get On Your Boots video. (Hmmmm?)

    Pics in question:

Perhaps the amp in question is a 50th Anniversary VOXAC30H (Handwired)?:

  11. And as per Larry... it is ALL ABOUT THE DRUMS...

Judging by the U2.com video of Larry working on Get On Your Boots", it looks like the album track and single feature his black oyster Ludwig drum kit complete with Zildjian cymbals. The Crash and Ride cymbals appear to be from the A Custom line. the hi-hats look to be older Avedis Zilljian - perhaps even Larry's old set from the late 1970's/early-early `80's?
