I was just joking, therefore the . Maybe it was a bad joke, so I apologize. The simple white logo is indeed very tasteful, and if I had five of those I would surely find a way to use them - not on my guitar, but very likely on the guitar case. Don't take every one of my words too seriously. I had stickers on a guitar once, too.

BTW, a Fat Strat is soundwise an extremely versatile and shapewise an extremely convenient instrument. I prefer floating two- point vibrato to six- point, too. Congrats. Hope it sounds good.

  3. It might seem weird... but I forgot to mention that I photoshopped that cheapo guitar onto our latest album cover. The pic was taken with the original pickups still mounted, before I installed the GFS Retrotron Liverpools. The guitar itself is only featured on two intros though, all the rest is Les Paul and Strat. But I like the looks of it:

    BUMP!![..]

By the way, I customized my guitar (something I thought I'd never do)...

Very nice, Sergio. One of my fenders is completely covered in stickers. I'll have to post a pic sometime...

Edge plays UTEOTW live with a capo on the third fret, doesn't he? Well, I have my guitar tuned standard, eBGDAE, and I play in tune to the song with capo on second!! Is his Les Paul tuned 1/2 step down (Eb) or what?? Because the song is in F#, not in G, I can swear that!

Just a bit of rambling, sorry and thanks in advance

  6. I'm pretty sure on the ZooTV tour, and perhaps the Popmart tour, i haven't checked, it was half a step down with the capo on the third. But during elevation, (and probably vertigo tours) it was standard tuning with a capo on third.

Yep - Elevaton and Vertigo were in standard (E) tuning.
  8. OK, thanks Alex and Jeff. As I supposed, Zoo TV had a flat E tuning. Thanks a lot

  9. I will have to double-check but I do think that ZOO tours and POPMART were E-flat. (Capoed and the 3rd fret)

Seems that more and more things that were in E-flat have gotten moved to standard E tuning. Mysterious Ways during Vertigo being a prime example.
  10. Previously it's been mentioned that EH has developed the POG 2...

As the POG 2 has pre-sets, perhaps we will see one or more in The Edge's gear for the U2:360 tour?

    POG2 - Polyphonic Octave Generator

Back in 2005, Electro-Harmonix unveiled the original POG, a polyphonic octave generator that enabled guitarists to conjure everything from the surreal jangle of an 18-string guitar, to rich, thick walls of symphonic sound.

The POG2 will take you even higher. Use the new attack control to fade in lush, smooth swells. Tune in the new second sub-octave to reach deeper than ever before. The 2-pole resonant low-pass filter now includes two additional Q modes. Slide in the newly enhanced detune to further refine your sound.

The POG2 delivers unrivaled tonal variations -- and now you can save your favorite settings, and recall them with a click. The POG2 just plain sounds better, thanks to an enhanced algorithm that delivers a more focused and in-the-pocket harmonic performance. And all this is now packed into our rugged and pedalboard-friendly diecast chassis.

Great step up from the first version. I'm already saving for one of those...
