whats the u2 sound forum?? is it any good?
  2. M13 is a great unit. There are a number of Edge fans and tribute band Edge's that use them. About the only tone you can't get 100% is Mysterious Ways - but that seems to be the one tone you can only nail using the original unit that The Edge used - the Korg A3.

In fact, one of the guys that was a beta tester for the M13 was a tribute Edge so be sure that he worked with Line 6 tons on the delays and other Edge tones.

There are tones of knowledgeable and helpful folks at U2 Recording Yahoo Group.

  3. Update in the new gold sparkle Warwick bass that Adam began using at the Brandenburg Gate show.

    Per a rep at Warwick:

"It is actually a custom Streamer $$, with maple fb wood, black block inlays, maple neck, swamp ash body, custom wired Seymour Duncan pickups, full passive electronics, but with a custom wiring.

And a nice special GoldFlake finish :-)"

There you have it. And perhaps this will be the Adam Clayton signature bass? Time will tell.
  4. Sweet, just scored a Fender Blues Jr for 350 bucks on ebay

Really? wow Everything except Mysterious Ways is pretty damn good!

  6. The black tolex. I just saw the tolex one on there, bid on it, and got it for a good price. I didn't feel like looking around, I just needed a small loud amp quickly for future band practises (my band is FINALLY starting to practise )

  7. Not everything, everything but certainly a most things. Including shimmer sounds.

ive been mucking around with my Magnificent chorus effect, if u wanna give it a shot heres wat i got going on.

    PREAMP: set on combo, gain=55, bass=45, middle=55, treble= 83, level = 45

COMP/FX and OD/DS arent being used

    MODULATION: have it set on delay, rate/key = 39 (aka 390ms), depth/harmony= 50, E.level/resonance = 80

    DELAY: have it set on modulation, time= 29 (aka 290ms), feedback = 43, e.level = 80

the double modulated delay is what gives it that distinct sound, i hope u have fun trying it.
let me know wat u think.
  11. Thanks for all Adam's gear info, Jeff. You rock a lot and your interest is so great, THANKS
