    Works this time.

And yeah, it's not necessarily hard to get down, but depending on if you're playing along with anything, there's quite a few versions of it, and they're all fun to learn. Glad you're already that far along in it though!

Thanks, The hard part is putting the stringing the different sections together.

Im not quite sure about the last part of the chorus riff though

    E|----12-----12-----12-----12-----12---------------------------12\11----------------------|
    B|-----9-h10p-9-h10p-9-h10p-9-h10p-9-h10p9---------------------------------|
    G|-----9------9------9------9------9-----------------------11---------------------------|
    D|-----9------9------9------9------9--------------------------9---------------------------|
    A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
    E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I'm not sure if Edge plays those two pairs of notes at the end, if he does it's probably from the ZooTV performances.

Anyone know if the chorus riff from the album track is different?

Also just noticed from this 92 washington performance

Is Edge playing lower down on the fretboard? Or is it just me?
  2. What the Edge is playing in this song has always been a mystery to me lol. There's about 4 different ways to play it, scattered across the net. Watch Mick's video's on youtube (mick3b1g) he does a great cover of it, watch his fingers, he seems to have it down pat. That's how I figured it out.

Yes, Mick plays like Edge does, which isn't high up around the 12-15th frets:

And he doesn't use the variation the 2nd time he plays the chorus riff.
  4. i just had a good idea (well in my head its good ) since we all love playing guitar here.... and weve got the bootleg round table, we should should start a U2 guitar cover table. each fortnight we pick a song and all record ourselves playing it on guitar(video or audio) then all post it up, that way we can get feedback from other guitar playing u2 fans and during the fortnight we can discuss how to get the sounds right, playing styles, etc. I hope everyone is as keen to do this as me

I would be, unfortunately I can't be spending time every night on u2start or recording U2 covers

We do that at U2 Recording. I think they do that at U2 Guitar Tutorials. And I think the also do that at U2 Sound.

  7. Got mine on ebay for $419.00 (NEW). I've some used ones going for $350-$400.00

  8. Coming soon - It's out. Premiered at the NAMM convention in Anaheim in January. Scott, the bass player in Joshua Tree (in Los Angeles) bought the one they had at NAMM.

First he got one of his Precision's refinished in lavendar sparkle like Adam's and NOW... he's got a Warwick Reverso like Adam's. Now THAT my friends, is Tribute-Adam dedication!

That's a rich bastard. You don't need a 5000 dollar bass to sound like Adam, nor do you need 5000 dollars worth of gear to sound like Edge. Kind of ridiculous.
  10. Hello there

I've been lurking here for a while now (don't ask me why, as I can't play guitar...), and when I just came across this pic I was wondering if you guys had seen it yet -- in any case it's not been on this thread yet if you have

My Spanish isn't too good, but here's the site I found it on
  11. That page is mantained by a friend of mine, he's a fanatic of Edge's work and has put some severe time on making that graphics and explanations...
