    Hard to say for certain...

In some older interviews. He's mentioned that he paid WAY too much for the Gretsch White Falcon (seen in the Pride video and Rattle and Hum). But as the latest video footage shows him with a different White Falcon, the original might have been a flood victim.

Dallas told me that they paid "a lot" for the cherry Gibson SG (used for Elevation).

Some of his guitars are WORTH a lot as he's played them. This is evident by the last two Icon's of Music auctions.

cherry Gibson SGs go for a pretty penny.....
  4. Even knock offs. A friend of mine got a 61 reissue epiphone, and it cost him over 600 bucks.

A "vintage" cherry SG is expensive. As are rarer coloured "vintage" SG's. There are a few SG models that are expensive.

Epi SG's are not so great... If the Epiphone is $600.00, one might save and hold out for a Gibson SG Classic (w/P-90 pickups). They are $990.00. It is similar to the SG used by Pete Townshend on Live At Leeds, Isle of Wight... early 1970's era.

A Gibson 1961 reissue is about 2089.00 (musicians friend).

A SG Standard reissue with maesro tailpiece, similar to The Edge's 1966 goes for $3199.00

SG Historic Reissue is about 3K.

And the Angus Young is about 2300.00

  6. Talking of SGs... The other day, on the Rock In Rio festival I saw a guitar player of the spanish group "Estopa" who was playing (apparently, I was about 30 meters away and couldnt watch the brand) a Gibson SG which was GREEN, a lima or UFO green... Do you know if Gibson makes green guitars??

Why yes, they do make green. Perhaps it's one of the SG Robot guitars?

Gibson's Robot SG Special represents the latest evolution of one of the world's most popular and well-respected instruments. While the Robot SG Special doesn't walk and talk or take on a humanoid form, it does perform a very important task - it tunes itself. This marvel of modern engineering that looks pretty much like any other SG (except for its very cool Purple Metallic finish and Green Metallic finish) will tune itself to standard tuning or alternate tunings, and is equipped to be a great aid in intonating the Robot SG Special, as well. Limited to just 1,000 worldwide.

I love Adam's "idiot proof" setlist complete with color coding for his basses and what effects are to be used.

Apparently nicknames help too. Note the designated switch for the bass Edge uses on "40"

Again the bass Edge uses on "40" gets special labeling

The tech bench for the "Poshest member of U2" complete with espresso machine.

    Awesome post!

I wonder if Adam has an endorsement from the cappucino maker company, as he does for bass guitars, strings, and amps...

No no no I knew about that new guitars and about THAT metalic green colour. The one I speak about was VERY green, like the movies' UFOs. Like that:

Maybe it was a custom or a modification from the guitar player himself. Or maybe it wasn't a Gibson at all (we all know about imitations etc), even tho he was a professional guita player, playing on a international festival; I would expect him to carry an origianl Gibson (they all had Fenders, Ibanez's, Les Paul's...).

Might be custom. I've not seen that color as a stock option on a Gibson. That is a "Whack" finish!

I just noticed the grinder on the right side. Classic! Now the question is are they vintage? I've heard the vintage ones sound better than the new ones.
