1. Ah, that's not the standard way of numbering the strings, man! You got me confused It's generally accepted going from the thinner string to the bottom, fatter one. That would make ECGCGC for your tuning, which indeed looks good (although doing chords must be a pain, huh?).

PS. The video doesnt work. Maybe you copied wrongly the link, or deleted the last number or letter? It happens to me a lot. You want to delete the "&embedded_playing_blablabla" stuff and you end up erasing some part of the actual link

EDIT. I see you figured it out
  2. Seen John Butler a couple times in concert....very talented dude. His old band was top-notch, no technical mistakes at all.
  3. Wow, that video is awesome. Awesome. Those 11 (not 12, did you notice? He takes out the same string as I do, the thin G one) strings sound sssssweeeeeet
  4. Yeah it had some no_mobile thing in the middle Posting videos is awkward from the iPod.

Haha sorry bout the strings, I just wrote it out whatever way It sounds really good man you should try it. With chords you can just bar on any fret and you have a higher chord, I havent looked into different fingering of chords yet It's cool to just mess up and down one string too and just bang all the strings out. Something to keep me occupied instead of studying French anyway
  5. Known about John Butler for a while.

On the one hand it's awesome what he does, on the other hand - it's not hard to sound good when using open tunings.
  6. I always wanted to study French! But I understand you 100%, I just look for things, any things, just to keep me busy. Every thing is better than studying whatever subject
  7. Hey, people. You can watch TV for the rest of the night/morning, or watch this videos instead.

    OMFG... x1000000000000

    Just an example:

It's pretty creative though, all the pull offs and stuff. I agree everything sounds good with open tuning though, I feel like a guitar god here

  9. hahahaha, I must try it theeeen I feel like I haven't improved in soloing/phrasing since a lot of time ago. I'm pretty good at chords and progressions, but my soloing, picking, etc sounds like it sounded one year ago. Lack of practice, I guess. And well, I play just for fun, not with the "I must improve" mantra... Anyway, I'd really like to improve a bit.
  10. Anyone here have any thoughts about the Boss ME-70 ?

It seems to fit my price range and pedal desires well. UPDATE: It's in the mail.

More importantly, the simple layout suits my brain size.

  11. I'm wondering if I should sell my kydney or something like that... But I want this bass guitar SO BADLY:
