1. Thanks Sergio... Now I can feel good about getting more guitars xD I only have four (two electrics, two acoustics) and a ukulele (and a Russian balalaika thing). I'll probably sell my Epi LP though.

Just ordered tubes for my amp! Dad convinced me to wait with ordering a speaker 'til I've heard the new tubes in the stock speaker. How boring of him . But perhaps wise, I don't think I can resist a speaker if I'm not totally amazed by the amp with new tubes though.
  2. Maybe buying a new amp would have been quicker, easier and cheaper...

  3. It would've been more expensive. I may have still ended up wanting to upgrade something... And it probably would've taken a long time too.
  4. I may be able to get a Korg A3 for a very decent price.
  5. Are you fucking kidding me right now
  6. Picked up my tubes and changed them today. For any Europeans interested; http://www.tube-town.net/index.html seems to be a good site.

And for anyone interested, here's what I put in my Peavey Valveking 112:

    Pre-amp tubes: V1: Tung Sol 12ax7 V2: JJ 5751 V3: Sovtek 12ax7 LPS (Long Plate Structure)

Power Tubes: JJ 6L6GC (TT tone selection for Peavey amps with fixed bias)

And I have normal JJ 12ax7 tubes to try too, and a JJ 12au7 (lower gain) that I could try, but it's really intended for a pedal I hope to get for christmas.
  7. And... My uncle picked up the used Korg A3 for me today. It'll cost me 500 SEK (around 75 dollars). Can't wait to get it.
  8. That is very cheap for a good condition Korg A3. Not sure if you'll make the most of it though, but enjoy fiddling around

  9. What do you mean with not being sure if I'll make the most of it? I haven't bought it for Mysterious Ways if that's what you think...
  10. I think I'll post a full gear-update at some point soon, but for now I just wanted to share with you guys the latest and greatest mods I had done to my Line 6 M9.

-I got new switches put on it because mine were ceasing to function (apparently a problem with most of these things if you use them long enough - you can blame Line 6 for that)

-A dedicated scene select button (if you have an M9 you know how annoying trying to hit those two buttons together gets)

-And an overall sound quality boost, I read the technical details about it and didn't understand half of them but from what I understand it's something in the circuitry that reduces noise and clarifies the effects. Along with that sound quality boost an overall DSP output knob was installed, which I can foresee being super handy.

I do own an M13 as well, but I don't use it nearly as much because I just find it too big and it gets annoying trying to bring it anywhere. Not only that, but I like limiting myself to only three effects per sound, it keeps the guitar's identity intact and makes it more fun for me to try and make the most out of a minimal amount of effects. Not trying to bash guys around here who use a ton or anything like that, it's just the kind of player I've become.

    Here's a pic!:

  11. Went looking at guitars, mostly Strats, with two friends today. One of them found what he was looking for... He loved the Fender Classic Series 70s model, that's in ash. I loved it too, but not as much... And I didn't really like the neck, didn't quite feel right. Although.... This:

That guitar was in a store I've never been in before, little, very cozy personal store with a lot of used guitars too. And... The guy who had it was Irish!! And... He said he once sold a Pod to U2. Infinite respect.

I think I found my new favorite guitar store.
  12. My brother has a a 70s Strat and it's drool-tastic.
