I'm not denying that, I just personally think it's a bit unnecessary.

Jimmy Page has some words with you.

In U2 by U2, Edge commented most of War was recorded on a Fender amp he borrowed, off someone. Combine, that with the lack of delay, and the fact his Explorerseeems to be entirely MIA, and you have the cleanest guitar ever, on a U2 record, which oddly adds to the albums gritty feel.
Originally posted by anstratdubh1979[..]I read that bit about the Fender amp on War. I don't remember how much it was used or not. I thought he said for "Sunday Bloody Sunday" but there could have been more. I will re-read that tonight.

These two humbucker guitars with a cranked Fender amp and perhaps some distortion... plus the EH Deluxe Memory Man can get a bit of overdrive to it.

Indeed, I only recall him talking about SBS but that doesn't mean he didn't refer to anything else, I just remember him saying they dropped the echo for SBS to get a more forceful idea across.

He used it for Rejoice, if I remember correctly - from stuff on YouTube from the '82 Gateshead festival...

Wonder what brand of chips The Edge prefers? (Lest I forget, they are "crisps" to you lot in the UK)
They are indeed, but I saw through said cultural divide

Not that some good ol' hot steamy Brittish chips aren't a good thing... that and some yummy fish. Mmmmmm....
