Epi SG's are abysmal. Most Epi LP's need the tuners swapped out and the pickups. That said, the `56 LP reissues with P-90 p'ups are lovely. Slash LP is lovely. Epi Explorers are fantastic. Epi Casino's are quite nice (and on my short-list of guitars to buy).

Most Fenders that are under 599.99 - it's like the previously mentioned PayLess comment. Most under 600 are shite. Some of them can be saved with some upgrades and some not.

Yes, there are plenty of shit Fenders. I just got rid of one, lol...

Re-learn? They've not played UV since closing of the ZOO tours.

Although they SHOULD re-learn it; be great to hear it again.

Yea I agree with you man. My standard mexican strat was pretty crappy until I put some 70's pickups in. Now I really love it. But I still ended up getting a better one, the 70's RI strat. And Casino's are very nice, can't argue there.

Bar the odd exception or two, I don't like flashy finishes...

How many times to I have to tell you... if the EDGE is giving up any of his Clapton Strats, I have "dibs"!

    hahahahaha...

Ha, that reminds me of the time I replaced my semi-acoustic with the wrong nut, or rather we went to a guitar shop and me, my dad and the owner managed to attach an incorrectly proportioned nut to said acoustic lol. The effect was that the first fret just didn't work, and became the nut, so I lost the last fret at the top end lol...I got used to playing everything a fret up, but everyone else who played it got driven mad lol. When I went to get a new one, the guys at a different guitar shop had never seen anything like it before and spent about half an hour investigating it lol.

A 400.00 Fender will sound better than a Squier 90% of the time. Squier are shit. Unless it's a Japan made 1980's Squier.

MIM (Made In Mexico) - what my buddy refers to as "NAFTA-Caster - FENDER Strats sound better than Squiers.

Wow that is legendary. That is so bogus its legendary and hilarious haha!!! I can't believe that ended up working (or NOT working?) but that's funny that you got used to playing everything a fret up hahaha.

It was mad, I mean, all the intonations and everything were fine, it just acted as if the nut was exceedingly wide and the real first fret just didn't exist lol...happy days

Dude, everyone starts out with a basic guitar, Squiers are (From what I hear) good starter guitars - once you start getting good, that's probably when you wanna start spreading your wings and looking for a bit more quality
