1. Cheers for the tips listening to sum of their stuff i can kinda see how some people compare Kasabian to these guys
  2. Originally posted by RUMMY:I listen to that live show quite frequently. It's great AND it includes R&R Star, Slide Away, Morning Glory, and Champagne Supernova. No Some Might Say, however. They didn;t play it very often in the 2000's which was a shame.

Are you talking about the iTunes Festival show? That show is terrible. Liam's voice is just ridiculous, complete mess.
  3. That's the one. I agree that there are issues with Liam's voice but I still enjoy listening to it.

I'm waiting for remasters of some of their monumental 90's shows.

Liams voice being a complete mess can apply to just about any show after 2000 unfortunately
  5. Im off to see noel in manchester in october,,carnt wait
  6. i've never really given Oasis a chance before - i've always been more of a Pulp/Blur man before - but after seeing Beady Eye last week i've given them a chance and i'm impressed. 'Columbia' in particular is great.

as someone who's only listened to their first 3 records, where should i go from there?
  7. I just watched some of Lord Don't Slow Me Down. That start is hilarious when they try to open that gigantic champagne bottle. Infact, most of it is pretty funny actually.

Well, their best work is comprised in that 3 records in my opinion, so just get yourself a compilation including their best post-Masterplan works (Time Flies is a good one) and maybe one or two post-2000 bootlegs as well.
  9. ^ righto.

am i alone in thinking Definitely Maybe is better than Morning Glory? it's not as anthemic or bright sounding, but there's not one duff track to be heard.
  10. Morning Glory is one of the best albums of the decade, man. As a whole, and as track per track too. It's their best. Brilliant.
  11. Their both great! Tough to choose one over the other. I've said before that DM has a better flow - more of a cohesive album but WTSMG has more anthems and a wider range of tunes. They really are two of the greatest R&R albums ever.
