All in for this show. Casper and Harry castrated by school/Uni work. Anyone else?

    Looks like a good turnout...
  2. Very indeed, I've spent the whole weekend outta home and just arrived last night. Sorry for the (once again) delay... Off with the horns, on with the show.

    1997-09-02 Foxboro

This one was amazing. I hadn't listened to a POP show for centuries and when I got this one up I said "What the hell?? It sounds like heaven!!"... This show was the comeback to PoP for me

    Performance :

The band was on fire, whoever says they weren't is lying Even tho they seemed to be a bit quiet sometimes (Last Night On Earth, UTEOTW and the first half of NYD were horrible), my overall feeling on the performance is great. They knew it was their last concert on the US for 3 months and they wanted to give a bit of extra energy. Moreover, U2, summer and USA aren't used to go together, and they work great. All July concerts on the USA are great, always!! Remember the Outside Broadcast leg of the ZOO TV? And, oh my god, the middle part was fucking awesome. I STill Haven't Found (the intro is WOW... When he says "I remember riding on the car and I heard this song in 4 different radio stations" is just like... OMG) + Stand By Me (_O_) + All I Want Is You + Staring At The Sun... That greatness wwas fucked off by Suspicios Minds, sadly. The Edge sung it pretty well until the half of the song, when that knobs surfaced off and fucked up the song.

    4/5

    Sound :

As Gerard and some others pointetd, the sounds is great, except for the fact that it has must has been converted about 15980 times, and that leaves a bad impression on the sound quality. Drums and guitar were somewhat muffled (I Will Follow, Please, Streets), but great overall. The crowd was heard perfectly, not bothering, not quiet. Perfect mixing between the band and the crowd. The 4/5 is deserved, the 4,5 stars could be achieved with a fresh re-encoding from the lossless files.

    4/5

    Audience :

It's a Boston crowd, you want some more info?

    5/5

    Overall
Fantastic show, almast fantastic sound, great audience. Nice one if you have a PoPMart hole to fill.

    4/5

  3. Takes the piss huh? I reckon the only time I'd be able to take part would be if an upcoming BRT selection week comes up when I have half term lol...
  4. I haven't listened to the current BRT show yet but the 2 star rating scares me.

  5. With its crappy rating yeah.

Haven't listened to it so I don't know if the sound warrants it but it can't be good. Hell I'm not keen on 3-star ratings.

Sam did say it's better than a 2. There are some harsh sounding recordings out there but better something than nothing

I hope to have first listen tomorrow.
  8. 2001-08-27 Glasgow is WRONGLY rated, I downloaded it centuries ago (I got virtually all the post-Bob's-death bootlegs) and it's an VG=>Ex. Audience

Shall I change the rating now? Or we'd better wait to all the reviews and for what users say?
