  5. 2001-10-19 - Baltimore, Maryland - Arena

    (this is a really basic review, I haven't had the chance to put together a particularly detailed one but will eventually update this)

    Performance:

    4/5 - very typical 3rd leg performance, full of joy and general feelings of an uplifting nature. Band going out to put on a show and doing themselves justice, if not themselves at the full peak of their abilities and showmanship etc. A few tracks of note - Knockin' On Heaven's Door was a nice addition during the acoustic set; Out Of Control, as ever, earning its place in the setlist - a treat for the die-hards and a great song for the casuals to tag onto; Please is the obvious standout track from the setlist purely because of its nature as the only full-electric performance of the song post-PopMart, although it lacked enough rehearsal time in my opinion - very raw and emotional, but lacking a touch of guile; Streets, as is the case 99.9% of the time, brought the house down, and as with other 3rd leg shows I liked the use of ISHFWILF and Pride to close the main set.

    b]Audience:

    3.5/5 - typical 3rd leg audience; not the most amazing audience ever to grace a U2 concert but they sounded like they made the most of it.

    Sound

    3/5 (3.5 at a push) - clear for the most part, bit distant.

    Overall:

    3.5/5 - there are better shows out there, but the inclusion of Please in full electric warrants a download on its own for novelty factor alone.

    Welcome to U2Start and thank you for putting time in to the upload. U2Start has the shows seperately per date though. I understand that a single rar is a lot easier, but i think we'll leave it as it is, for now.
