  1. The echoes of "gotta go...gotta go...." from The Fly circa 2001 would be a fantastic way to end a U2 show.
  2. It's between 40 and Kite for me, but Kite has a slight upper hand when Edge plays that solo twice like on Window In The Skies.

    Not to say that "40" is a bad song, or even show closer. Its performance in Chicago, where the band left the stage one by one, is outstanding.


    Oddly enough, the one Popmart show I was able to attend was Atlanta in Nov 1997, and they closed with 40. I still regret selling my ticket to see them in New Orleans due to a confilict with my schedule. What memories!
  6. I would have to say Walk On is favorite ending.
  7. I'm going to be quite honest and say that Love Is Blindness is probably one of the worst closing songs, in my opinion. It totally destroys the mood set by One, which I guess could work if they went on to play an encore set. But when it closes a show, it leaves me thinking "oh it's over? Awkward..." The song just feels incomplete. A much better song to follow One is Unchained Melody. It complements One very well from a musical and lyrical perspective and can even close a show.

    Wake Up Dead Man is another song that I felt was left sorely incomplete until Walk On made it part of a happy couple. Wake Up Dead Man --> Walk On is a fantastic combination.

    Yeah i'd agree with some of that,particularly Wake Up Dead Man,which i thought was a poor choice of closer during Popmart,it worked so well on Elevation imo when it preceded Stuck In A Moment (like at Slane Castle).
