    It's a beautiful song. They can play it after a good rock song like vertigo, streets or elevation. The hole crowd is in a busy temptation and U2 can bring that to al lovely peaceful rest with stay!

    I had never thought of Stay as a possible closer, but it makes sense, and it would be utterly beautiful.
  4. Really? 40. Nothing else can match it. Sure Walk On and others have good "end" vibes, but 40 is closing U2 tradition, it's just magic. I might be biased having been there in Moncton to hear it the only time it was played last tour though

    That's it for me....unless they end a show with Streets one day. THAT would be epic.

    True! Especially if Edge is left playing alone with the organs for a good like minute and a half as the band leaves. Epic.
  7. 40 is a great show closer when they get it right! By that I mean that 40's only 360 Tour appearance did not do it justice as a closer. All the best performances of 40 occur during the Vertigo Tour, imo.

    But wowy works as a show closer also...

    If you were there, you'd be saying differently, trust me. I know a ton of people here see it as a failed performance, but there was something special in the air that night, being the end of the tour and all, and a couple mistakes were forgiven. It was pure magic.

  10. i prefered the determination of the band to end with MOS and the occasional Out of Control on this last tour. 40 is classic imo but sort of "old", idk what it is, i'm kind of over that idea right now. i still want the occasional show to end with 40 though

    i miss Kite from the Vertigo tour...
  11. '40' should be reserved for special occasions, such as the end of a leg/tour or a show in a new city. Moment of Surrender was a real good closer in my opinion, both songs feature something for the crowd to sing which is great. Historically, Love Is Blindness is probably my favourite but ZooTV was special in many ways.
