1. alright, I think you guys sold me. I'm going to whip up the bucks and finally buy a subscription. Fingers crossed that I'm able to get the pre-sale if there is one.
  2. if you register on livenation in holland you got e-mails for pre-sail tickets
in holland most tickets go on sail on saterday ...
but the pre-sails starts on thursday from 17.00 until 17.00 the day later
we coud buy tickets for coldplay that way ...
and i saw it also before bob dylan and beonce and lots of other artist ...
  3. Can not do any harm to sign up the live nation website, get lists and pre sales.

Since U2 did that deal with live nation my guess is this will at least get ahead of general sales.

  4. THAT alone would be a reason for me, to even consider to become a member of u2.com
I still hope your gonna be able too
But if U2 have that deal with Live Nation now, their might be a chance that they are taking over it

Yep, also made use of it with Coldplay.

U2 will definitely not have a pre-sale for U2.com members, only Livenation members can be a part of the pre-sale. And the stupid thing is, anyone can register at Livenation. So it's just basically a show without a pre-sale.
  6. I would not say NO there is no ticketing for FANCLUB. Patience is the key word.

Many members got emails from U2.com. In those they extended their memberships as Live Nation is taking over from FanFire. The emails said that a subsequent email would be sent regarding the new fan club.

So until that has been announced and stating whether or not they would continue presales and ticketing, as they have done on the last two tours and since Propaganda... it seems a bit wrong to state that they are definitely 100% not doing it.

Live Nation may be doing some of the ticketing directly. But those with fan club memberships might have presales available sooner than merely at LiveNation.com

Live Nation has ran Bruce Springsteens site/merchandising and such for a while. I've heard of many success stories.

Do not judge U2.com by one clusterfuck that Fan Fire did on the last tour. Judge Fan Fire for said clusterfuck.

There may be presales and priority ticketing as U2 have done so since the early days of Propaganda. And with a better outfit, like Live Nation vs. the dreaded Fan Fire, they may continue.

DEFINITELY WON'T have a presale is a pretty strong statement before we've gotten all of the facts from Principle Management, isn't it?
  7. I tried to get my son concert tickets from Live Nation in November. I received an email from Live Nation offering a 1 yr membership for $695! This membership fee would let me buy pre-sale tickets to any concert sponsered by Live Nation in my area (Florida, USA).

Seems like a total waste to me. If you're gonna drop that much, might as well buy them off ebay.
