    Well, they'll sound better.

Ever heard of a guy called 'noiseless'? Yeah, he remastered Salome and it already sounds pretty much perfect.

I think we will always have this 'problem' with this band. And the B-sides/unreleased songs are never really good imho.
  4. ^I tend to agree. There are some really good U2 b-sides but other bands I listen to (Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Oasis, ...) seem to have many more higher quality ones.

    Opinions, of course.

But they still have a very "demo" sound. I wonder if these will have that as well. I can't wait to find out.
  6. "Noiseless" rocks.
  7. Well the whole reason that they're b-sides is because they weren't good enough to make the album, maybe that's why they aren't that good.
  8. I think the point is bands like Oasis and Radiohead (I won't even mention The Beatles) relegated songs to b-side status even though they are generally deemed to be as good, if not better, than songs on the albums with which they were recorded. Radiohead's "Talk Show Host" or Oasis' "Acquiesce" are true gems. I'm not that can be said about too many of U2's b-sides, except for maybe "Party Girl" which I have to admit I am not a huge fan of.

Additional note to defend U2: Many of the songs that do in fact make it on to their albums are THAT GOOD so the b-sides do pale in comparison.
  9. I hope one of the "new" songs is as good as Wave of Sorrow.
  10. Oohw its next week, thought I missed it

I have BBC one here in the Netherlands so I guess I can watch it here?
  11. Another reason it kind of sucks that we're not getting any Zooropa b-sides is becaue we'll still never get to hear the version of The Wanderer that Bono sang, that Eno and Flood wanted on Zooropa instead of the Johnny Cash version. I'd love to hear that version of the song, I'm almost sure I'd like it better.
  12. Let's hope there'll be a Zooropa deluxe edition in two years.
