1. As there's only a good few weeks until the end of 2008, I thought why don't we do a vote on the best album of 2008. You can nominate just one album, plus a second one as a runner-up, whether it is an EP, LP, live release or digital-only release.

The one with the most votes is obviously declared as U2start member's favourite album at the end. It doesn't have to be well-known - it can be a state band, just something you think is a bloody good effort. So you choose one as your favourite and another as a notable effort. It can be one of the U2 remasters if you want as well.

Favourite: Along Came A Spider - Alice Cooper

Notable: Viva La Vida - Coldplay

Note: No turning this into a Coldplay discussion thread, either, you're most welcome to vote for them - big difference. But VLV is a good album.
  2. Viva La Vida takes both nominations for me
  3. I'd go with Viva La Vida as well
  4. The last shadow puppets- "The age of the understatement"
  5. Day & Age
  6. Best: The Music - Strength In Numbers
Notable: Alanis - Flavors of Entanglement
  7. The one I listened the most this year was Keane's new album, Perfect Symmetry. I would like to nominate that one.
  8. The Gaslight Anthem - The '59 sound
  9. Day & Age
  10. I'll get the results up by next Friday. I think I know who the winner and runner-up is gonna be...

Damn I wish I could change my nominations now! Actually, I reckon you can change your nominations - but just once. Not twice, not three but once only in case you had a change of heart.
  11. Best: Viva La Vida

Notable: Only By The Night - Kings of Leon
