Sound is described as closer to Achtung Baby than to the bomb. But that's based on a listening via phone.

Closer to Achtung Baby? It's getting more interesting by the day...do you know if all promos now have encryption on them, or is it just this one?

That's all I got so far which is what the radio host said. I don't know if there's a copy out there yet (available to the general public), but if you find it...let us know!

Could be a matter of hours, day or weeks before we hear it. Love the excitement! Can't wait to hear a new U2 song.

We should know in just over a week...or maybe a few days, if it really is the sound of '91 all over it. Wouldn't now be the time the photo shoots for the album promos are taking place?
  4. What kind of encryption are you talking about?

Sounds good so far - you'd wonder about all the effort to encrypt the song etc. I know it has to be done but as stated earlier, surely someone somewhere will simply rip it from the radio and upload etc. All that being said - can't wait to hear the new track. Dave Fanning usually has first play here in Ireland; but, to be honest, I don't even know when his show is on anymore - must check it out!!
  7. Just checked there - Dave Fanning has a show every Sunday night from midnight to 2am; so I guess on Sunday the 18th @ midnight we might get our first listen here in Ireland - woohoo!!

  8. Some sort of protection (physical or virtual) to prevent the promo from being leaked before the 1st airing. That's just another rumour, though.
