1. Two words doesn't mean anything. Lots of electronic sounds does mean something.

Well, this was written on the 9th of January, and it said to wait 10 days...so obviously January 19, for those of you playing at home.

I myself am quite certain that I will be pleased with the new album, and that is partly due to the fact that I don't believe the hype, and will not go in and listen to it, expecting to be their magnum opus.

And if it was their magnum opus? ATYCLB had the honour of this, and obviously the Grammy Awards thought HTDAAB was worthy of the magnum opus.

  2. uve lost me, r u talking about bono
  3. HTDAAB, won awards because it was better than all the other stuff put out by artists today.

This is starting to turn into a Crossfire-esque news thread

  5. Bad year for music then it would seem.

  6. It won awards in a time when Shit like r and b, hip hop and all computer generated crap was popular, it deserved every single thing it won, and proved at the end of the day a singer, a guitarist, a drummer and a bass player can make music far surpassing anything else. 2008/09 seems to be more rock freindly with coldplay, kol, killers and snow patrol all having success with their new albums.

  7. Does this give an indication to how bad music was in 2004?

    Patience - George Michael
    Hopes and Fears - Keane

    Encore - Eminem
    Speak - Lindsay Lohan
That's What I'm Talking About - Shannon Noll
    College Dropout - Kanye West
My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue - Fall Out Boy
Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance
    Population Override - Buckethead
    Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters
    Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson
How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - U2
