1. Edge's rig (so far, based on Father Xmas video and the BBC special) seems to be about the same...except he's added a Marshall stack!!! This should provide even more tonal sweetness.

Also saw some new Rickenbackers, Telecasters, my two favorite guitars. Oh lordy.
  2. Not sure if this has already been posted... but there is a guy on Interference who is claiming to have an early copy of the February Q issue, and most people are trusting him (IIRC, someone mentioned that this guy had leaked stuff from Q in the past, and it turned out to be true). He's been leaking stuff now about NLOTH. But here's the tidbit he provided on the tour:

    - Bono on Tour plans. "Well, I can't say too much because the LiveNation people would die. But think its fair to say that what we've planned for outdoors has never been done before and that we've been working on it for a long time. It's a feat of engineering genius."

I think I'm gonna throw lock up my computer until March 2nd. That should stop the eagerness and tension. Or, to prevent any slips on my part, hand it to a friend. Yeah. That should do it. If it doesn't, I'll check myself into a mental rehabilitation center. I'll go peacefully, don't worry. Maybe solitary confinement and the Bible will do the trick.

I seriously am getting dangerous to be around when I read things like that

On a serious note, thank you for sharing the information digitize

Yup, read it too, posted some stuff in the Album-topic. This hasn't been posted before, thanks.

Alot of my buddies use Marshalls. There great when you have to shred like a mofo.

Dallas bought some vintage Rickenbacker 6-strings while shopping or guitars in Chicago last year.

Thanks for sharing. That's not surprising because U2 has been raising the bar for years. ZooTV was unprecedented with all the tv's, Popmart had the biggest screen ever, Elevation had the most innovative stage and Vertigo was all of them thrown into one. Still, I'd love to know what hidden treasure's they've got up their sleeves.

  8. Amateurs....
  9. last time U2 went on a full out outdoor tour in the US was PopMart and we know how huge that was.....THIS IS GONNA BE BIG!
  10. So much for my hopes of a return to the Elevation style arena shows lol...but yaeh, big stadium tour will be pretty funkay...

Well you raise an interesting point now....do U2 want to skip out on venues they now probably love to play? By this I mean...do they want to skip out on New York and Boston? New York does have Yankee Stadium...but do they really want to kill tradition and not play in the MSG? Same applies for Boston.

I think we'll get two indoor legs and two outdoor legs depending on how BIG this really is.
