    As a Sunderland fan my dream would be for them to also play the stadium of light but it won't happen.

    Although we have got Oasis and Take That playing gigs there this year and with Quinny being Chairman you never know!! Also the team run out to elevation!!.


    If wembley does fall through Twickenham might be on the cards, and yeah, as a fellow Black Cats fan Sunderland would be a dream venue, but almost certainly impossible if they have dates at Murryfield instead of Hampden Park

    also ive just gone on the wembley stadium page at the 18th july weekend doesnt have any events going on that weekend.so there is a 3 day window for u2 to be there.

  3. Not sure there'd be 2 nights in Manchester. Never done that before. More likely they'd double up in Cardiff if needed. Or go back to Leeds of course.

    they did 2 Manchester nights on the Vertigo Tour, though only one was originally announced

    Unfortunately there is more money to be made in Amsterdam, there's no way any big act from outside Holland will attend Rotterdam for a few nights. Mojo will put them in Amsterdam for sure.     This cracks me up! It's a forty-five minute train ride between the 2 cities, people! Why not have them play the best stadium? I have to drive either 6.5 hours (Portland) or 8 hours (San Francisco/Oakland/Sacramento) to see them in concert!

    Any chance of U2 touring in Holland in April/May of next year? I'll be visiting family then...

  7. There are rumours of another tour in 2010, starting in Europe in march. But that's all very far away, and it certainly won't be announced, if it's true, at the end of the 2009 tour.
  8. The european summer tour this year seems to be rather short, so I wouldn't bet on too many shows per city...

    Arenas first off? O2 in London for example. Stadium next year. It's possible. Haven't we said before that they often tour US to generate revenue for the more expensive world-wide tour, which would certainly be needed for stadiums.
