  1. U2.com had an image of the album cover up without the equals sign earlier. Lost it when the page refreshed

  3. well if you look at the picture of the box set you can see that there is no '=' sign as well on the actual cover (on the box).

  7. I don't see that. The big mass public has seen the sea-sky photo, but not many of them would notice a change or a removing of the Equal symbol... But a brand new cover? No way, that would be very " We're newbies and we don't know what to do with our merchandising and new material "...
  8. i like the cover but the photograph that actually has no line on the horizon would have been more appropriate. and we could have avoided the silly little debacle over who got to the picture first

    Exactly even if they kept the equal signs, but used the image on an invisible horizon (also by Sugimoto) that Casper used in his mock up, it would make a lot more sense.
  11. To me, it looked better with the equal sign. Now it just looks like anybody's album or picture. Doesn't look like it represents anything anymore. Plus, the whole black and white thing reminds me of ATYCLB too much, everytime i see this album cover I think of their album 2 albums ago lol. It would have been cool to see a cover along the lines of imagery the new video has. That, or go with a picture that actually has no horizon, that was a dunce move on the band's part.

    Just wait for the complete artwork, rewatch the U2.com clips and enjoy. It'll all make sense.
