    There's a somewhat abrupt cut into the beggining of the sampled vocal you hear saying like "tse tse tse" during the first part of the verse. Quite similar to the vocal sample that repeats something that sounds like "put you go outta, put you go outta, put you go outta" on the next verse, at 2:40 and right underneath Bono's "Watching the sun go down on Lebanon". It's a production thing, and it indeed sounds like your typical low quality mp3 glitch

    Done to create ambience. That sample was recorded in my hometown by Eno & Lanois.
  6. This was an exciting time to be a U2 fan. The hype around this album, the anticipation of leaks. The vivid discussions about GOYB and all the tracks, artwork and tour. I feel OLD. I can't believe how time flies. I was on this forum for a year or two already by this point. NLOTH will always remind of a special time in my life.I was in HS and my friends and I would actually play this album frequently and loved it. It hasn't aged all that well and the album definitely has its flaws. But it was truly the last time we saw U2 being truly experimental. And the last time they worked with Eno & Lanois.

    PS: NLOTH the track itself is still a banger.
  7. Yeah, the title track is one of U2’s best rockers. I gotta say I really love the NLOTH 2 arrangement too.
  8. Additionally, I never much cared for Unknown Caller but I’ve listened to the album several times in the past few months and it’s definitely grown on me enormously. The long intro from MOS really works.

    I still remember someone posting link (and me downloading it, ha!) to that silly will.i.am remix of No Line On The Horizon. It was my first taste of the album.
