1. Having listened to some live versions now I wonder if they used some kind of auto-tuning on the album or if Bono comes in too late and sings out of tune on purpose...

    Hhahahahahaa legendary post

Really I dislike that late-coming of Bono, it really ruins the start of those great lyrics... I didn't notice the out-of-tune matter tho

  3. Yeah, the piano sets it apart from their other similar songs (as does the Arabic cello)
It definitely wouldn't be as good without it.

    Gah I love the cello!!
  5. I wonder why they didn't lower Edge's voice on the Magnificent B-Side - I mean, they obviously played with effects and echo anyway...

I was browsing U2.com for T-shirts, (found nothing I like unfortunately, nothing subtle) and found this T-shirt with a lyric from Breathe.

It's interesting as the only other NLOTH t-shirts on the store with song lyrics are all from the 3 released singles and the info page for that t-shirt says "featuring lyric from 'Breathe' single on the front"

Could just be an error though.

    Moved from IGCIIDGCT thread
  7. It is going to be the fourth single, they played it every time on the promo tour, its the show opener,.... NLOTH is much better, but im ok with Breathe too. Its a wise choice for a single. NLOTH is just too rock.
  8. Might work as a single but I hope it will be MoS.
  9. Don't really see Breathe work as a single tbh, I presume the usual awful single edit.
Above all, dont think the big audience will appreciate it, I think it would do worse than Magnificent and Boots.

No Line On The Horizon would work better indeed, also, no single edit needed on that one.
  10. Why would NLOTH work better as a single. I think Breathe is more mainstream

  11. I think Breathe is less popular, because it doesnt exactly have a nice rhyming chorus etc. etc.

No Line On The Horizon gets stuck in your head more easy, and that seems to be standard for a succesfull single (shamefull enough).

People cant sing along with Breathe, they can with NLOTH.

But they have released NLOTH 2 already, and that one was a lot more radio-friendly.
The song itself is good live but not a single choice at all.
