1. I need to balance myself emotionally first, get past the anticipation before saying I am disappointed. I like it, but don't know how much.

    It's U2, U2 material always grows.

Your way right it grows, I mean there are some songs I can't stop listening to like Unknown Caller Stand Up Crazy and Breath. I guess to me really it's just the music ok White As Snow is like one of they have ever made in 2000 but just the most of all the songs they lak what they dealt can be.

I feel like my old teachers, "You have the potentail of being so much better."

But one thing I really have to say is , I don't think I ever wanted to see them live so badly cause of one cd in years . Everyone of these songs will sound epic live.

  3. yeah! i'm a gree with you , at the first listen i didn't like NLOTH song, but after a lot times listening to it i like it more han the b-side.....and the rest of the album is great!!
  4. Seems like alot of people disappointed with the album , i'm not gonna talk about that the album needs to be heared more than one time

But this album is fucken Briliant , incorprating more than one style of music , with the most amazing lyrics since JT

People who don't like this album and say the HTDAAB or ATYCLB is better than NLOTH are (with no offense) are closely minded , they just don't like the change

Think of the album as a journey going to place you don't know , with no expectation , not high or low expectation , and i'm sure you will like the new direction

  5. I'll Go Crazy if I have to listen to that song again. They really phoned that one in, it's such a by-the-numbers, middle of the road, mid-western American crowd pleaser...that little sprinkle of piano cheeses it up so much. I feel much the same way about Breathe. Neither song feels "true", and reminds me so much of most of the dreck on Atomic Bomb and the bad songs on ATYCLB like Walk On.

Not to sound too negative, I like the other nine songs though. There's enough there that I *want* to listen to the album, it's not like I'm forcing myself to listen to it in the hopes that it'll grow on me.

  6. NLOTH is a good album. I would give 85/100.

The entire album feel is like a mixture of The Unforgettable Fire and All That You Can't Leave Behind.

I would prefer NLOTH than HTDAAB.
  7. I'd say it feels more like a mixture of JT and AB - and the only problem is that it's not just quite up there among these two but close behind.

  8. About AB and JT..they should try to reach a new level, not to conform to AB/JT-standards.
  9. Nope, not disappointed. It's a great album. A few songs need some time to grow on me, i.e. I'll Go Grazy, Being Born, White as Snow. But the more I listen, the more I like it. I can't wait for the sequel.
  10. I think the album is excellent. There are better quality of songs and there is more cohesion on this album than on the last 2 albums. This albums seems to flow nicely whereas atyclb and bomb didn't pack the quality that this posesses. I am getting good vibes from nloth and the production is spot on for me
  11. no sorry guys think its great!
even boots... (because of the "let me in the sound" part!)

overal i think its right up ther with AB, JT, TUF....POP!
