  3. I can understand in terms of not hearing it enough yet. When I first heard POP I hated it. It took some time for that to grow on me. I "like" the new album but will most likely "love" it by the time of its official release
  4. Its not up there with ab/jt yet, that has yet to be determined. Better than htdaab, october, boy, war(never really fell in love with that one for some reason), and passengers. An a level with uf, pop, ropa. I don't know if its better than atyclb, I still think beautiful day is the best song of the century.
  5. I thought the songs were all top, but the production was a bit flat. however, that was listening to a 256 KBPS version which I have now changed for a 320 KBPS version which has made a massive difference.

    It sort of reminds me of Zooropa with the production of Pop.

    Their best work in years.

    Im going out on a limb here, and willl get crucifed by the faithful as a result ,but after all the excitment of the album , and a very very long listen , i can say this is prehaps the worst album u2 have made in years.We are all jumping up and down and excited becuase it's U2 , but actually when it's all said and done this is a pretty lame effort for 5 years in the making.The songs simply dont really gel with me, they are slow at times , mixed terribly and havn't got that kick about them like the other albums.The lyrics are shocking at times, i can only dream as to what the album would have been like if they had of went with that other producer.Eno is what you by for a upset stomach here in Australia , and his mixing of this cd is particulary bad , makes me upset.Look this album will be considered in years to come as the DUD of u2 , Please just go back to rock and roll , ditch eno and get some balls and go out on a limp and make a record that will stand up as your best.It was really funny , but i was so excited, thought it was brillliant at the start but after the excitement has died down i realised what it was - a mixed up piece of work that really sounds like an out of control train that yes your right at the end ends in a train wreck.U2 or no U2 this is a shocker

    There will be no crucifixions here. Fair argument here but all opinion. Pop and Zooropa could be considered 'duds' when they are infact 2 of their very best (for me anyhows). This is Eno's album and not U2's, thats my main gripe but I am enjoying it none the less. The songs are already familiar so I doubt it's the excitement on it's own causing my liking of the album. I do think its a genuinely good album. I don't expect it to make my top 5 U2 albums but it's been way better than the crap we've had from the last U2 albums. U2 tried to go back to rock and roll with Bomb (apparently) and it was an epic fail of an effort. An album like the one which they are about to deliver is exactly what they needed. Whether or not it gets trashed in the press or crucified by the world over is irrelevant. Personal opinion is the only thing that matters.

    Your opinion says dud, but my opinion takes comfort in knowing that the bands last 'dud' was Pop and what a gem that album actually was. That was your going out on a 'limp' record, there was the balls, but to the masses it was a fail. One mans fail is anothers A+

    Eno never mixed an album, although uf does have vague credits, so don't hate him for something he never did. Its alright to have a different opinion though.
  10. I thought i was over doing it a bit, needed a day or so to not listen, then i just had to listen again, gave it the car test....and WOW, had the speakers BLARING, i reckon half of my home town could hear it, Breathe up really really loud is better than sex.....well.....almost...lol

I knew thier was a bad feel when Bono said it was thier best album ever , i knew either it was, or thier was such a fuck up that he had to try and salvage a wreck .You seriously can't tell me that that this wil win a grammy it's really realy bad. U2 's only shit , and hey Pop is behind AB for me , i loved POP
