  2. NLOTH is an excellent album. I'm going to upgrade my ranking on NLOTH.
    Current rating is 92/100

    It is a fusion of JT, AB and Zooropa. The output is a gem.

    The overall album is better than HTDAAB, ATICLYB.
    I have a feeling that NLOTH might be even better than AB.
    It is definitely among U2's top 3 albums and might be better than AB.


    1. No Line On The Horizon
    I would compare it with Zoo Station. It sounds a bit similar with Keane's Spiralling.

    2. Magnificent
    It does not sound as good as what most of you would think.

    3. Moment of Surrender
    It is not as good as One or With Or Without You.

    4. Unknown Caller
    It is comparable to I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Very good track.
    Should be a single.

    5. I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight
    It is a fusion of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses and Walk On.

    6. Get on Your Boots
    If you compare Get On Your Boots vs Even Better Than The Real Thing, I would like Get On The Boots more. It has the club feeling in it. It is definitely better than Discotheque and more edgy than Mysterious Ways.

    7. Stand Up Comedy
    This could be compared to Desire but with a modernised sound. It rocks!

    8. Fez – Being Born
    It sound like a fusion of Acrobat and Exit.

    9. White As Snow
    This track could be the next Love Is Blindness.

    This track reminds me of Mother Of the Disappeared but does not sound like the same. It is a fusion of MOTD, The First Time and has the strong element in If You Wear That Velvet Dress.

  4. this album is up there with AB and JT for me. Possibly in a few years it could take second place. I'm expecting a POP style tour with this album.

  7. Sorry to say I'm not convinced (yet) , although I've only had one complete "listen-through" so far.

    For me, it didn't have the instant "I love this" effect on me that HTDAAB and the first half of ATYCLB had.

    Quite like Magnificent, NLOTH, and Moment of Surrender though, and there's enough to suggest a few of the tracks could be "growers" ..... so I'll probably go from underwhelmed to loving it by this time next month !!!
  8. I am not disappointed in any way. I do wish it had that dirty feel of AB we only get 2 or 3 songs of that raw in your face power. I tend not to over analyze any new U2 work . I don't pick it apart or try to compare it to others , especially other bands music . U2 is U2 , enjoy the music ,don't dig , just sit back and bask in the glow . you guys wait and wait and wait and when you get it all you want to do is pick , screw that. IT'S MUSIC MAN , ENJOY IT. if you can write better lyrics , go ahead amaze the world with your sharp wit and wisdom . Can you play better , Go ahead and set the world on it's musical ear . I am sorry for going off it's your opinion and you are allowed that , I just thing you're wrong for pickin , and that's my opinion
  9. So, i love the new album (overall impression) musically

    I haven't listened very good to the lyrics so don't know about that

    But i'm a bit dissapointed about Bono's voice sometimes...
    He always tries to yell out loud and sing high but... He can't
  10. I kind of missed just Bono and Edge singing- I assume Lanois and Eno also did some singing on this album? This is a great album to fall asleep listening to- until GOYB starts, that is...
  11. I really can't understand how people can't get into this album, i mean each to their own, we all have different opinions, but i had chills listening to MOS again LOUD in the cans.

Even though I Don't like Brian Eno and Danny Lanois , I think Their time Has come to move on , and FOR U2 To find a New team to work with ! i would Love to hear what they worked on with rick rubin , even just demos , having said that , The More i listen to the cd , i love it ! i have listened to 5 times allready and it just gets better with each time ,
