  3. As partial as the majority of us are to U2 (and maybe even that song), I don't think it really stood a chance. If the Frozen song didn't win (which my 6-year-old daughter loves) then the Despicable Me 2 song (which my 6-year-old daughter also loves) would have likely taken the Oscar.

    I thought they win because Mandela , etc ... and my 4 year old daughter loves that two songs too
  5. I thought the movies itself would have ended up being a bigger deal because of his passing. It didn't do well at all both critically and at the box office.

  7. What's your prediction for Best Picture? For months the "experts" have been predicting an easy win for Boyhood but Birdman has been dominating the awards lately and now they're giving it the edge over Boyhood.

    I'm not sure, but I'll know it'll be close, and that's exciting!

  11. Well, the film I wanted to get nominated the most was shut out completely, so I have a little bit a grudge against them to make a proper decision on this year's ballot.

    (I was hoping that "Life Itself" would get nominated for Best Documentary - Feature, but it'll be a cold day in hell before the Oscars ever recognize Steve James' work. )
  12. I haven't seen enough of the nominated movies to make any educated opinions.
