  1. No way this is the best song, this is just a very good tune but Breathe, Magnificient, Cedars, Moment and No Line are far better than this.

    I really dislike the way Bono sings the last verses (from 04:25), his voice is shit when he sings "Who put bullets in guns", and all that stuff.

    I dislike the extra long intro (One minute and 15 seconds? WTH), and the very extra long outtro (One minute and 20 seconds??? WTF!!!)


    But overall I like this song a lot

    i love long intro/outro's !

    i love the song because it almost make me cry when i first heard it, the lyrics are great!
    also the part where The Edge gets angry

    it should be on there next album... songs of ascent along with ervey breaking wave

  3. Today, I listened to Winter for the first time. Oke, the beginning reminds a little bit of Coldplay (another great band), but Winter is really a great U2 song. I listened to this song at least 10 times and I can't get enough of it.

    good song, a bit long for me, with some work (not a lot left) could have been in the album.
  6. The only thing that really needs work is the chorus, the beginning of it is a bit harsh, Bono sounds a bit gravelly ("words will land on me" bit).

    Other than that its good, thought the outro could be just a bit shorter.

    I wonder if they'll finish it and stick it on Songs of Ascent, or if it like Mercy will just be left as is.

  12. I don't think I ever will. I listened right through to Achtung Baby today, and thought after it finished - how the hell did I get tired of that album? All the songs are great. Right from Zoo Station to Love Is Blindness! How many albums can keep you enthralled like that? It sounded like a new album - probably it's the one I always skipped.

    I then listened to Bomb. Only about five good songs on that one.
