1. Nice Sunday Bloody Sunday. If played as on Elevatio tour... BRING IT FUCKING ON!

  2. Really? I hated the drama with the kneeling and the bandanna and such. I just want him to get up there and sing it like he did on the Rattle and Hum DVD. Screw all this political talk - just sing the damn song.

The bandana acting was from Vertigo Tour (2005), he referred to Elevation Tour (2001).
  4. things can still change around with these songs...there i still some time to go and remember, they know we are listening!!
  5. Did Zooropa and Pop ever happen or what????

I do not like it so far...
  6. not too pleased with it all so far to be honest....

i thought edge said they were going to abandon a lot of the songs that were played on the last two tours?! (or words to that effect) and now it seems they are doing pretty much the opposite!

for example: i am now sick to death of hearing sunday bloody sunday which annoys the hell out of me cos i used to love the song and during the Zoo and Pop years i kind of missed it but now i've heard it played so much on the last two tours i have just become bored of it!. i feel pretty much the same about beautiful day, elevation, pride, and vertigo...

secondly: message from desmond tutu??! this sends shivers down my spine... i hope to god that this is not going to be another preachy tour..... bono's 5 minute sermons before one and his political acting during bloody sunday etc etc used to drive me crazy and make me cringe. why can't they just go back to playing sh*t hot gigs and focus on the music and just having a good time?! i love listening to bootlegs from the 90's when the focus was nearly always on the music and the political agenda and preaching was kept to a minimum and a few select shows/occasions...

thirdly: the neglect of the 90's in rehearsals so far is almost criminal!!!!! i was hoping that after 10 years of neglecting the amazing Pop album that this tour would finally see some of the songs brought back to life - especially any one out of Mofo, Gone, LNOE, Please or Velvet Dress... the same goes for Zooropa - Numb, Lemon, Dirty Day and Daddys gonna Pay all deserve to be heard again. and dont get me started on Achtung Baby....

The only thing that has made me nearly sh*t myself with joy is the fact they have been rehearsing The Unforgettable Fire and especially Ultraviolet - probably number one on my list of songs i would kill to hear live...!

i know most people will probably strongly disagree with some of the things i've said but its just my humble opinions!

  7. as of right now no. i know it sucks but the set list still looks amazing but your right throw pop and zooropa in there

  8. Yes, you are correct. My mistake. Either way, I still stand by my comment: "Screw all this political talk - just sing the damn song."

  9. The setlist looks just 'okay' to me
I know that most people think that the 80s are the best period, and they have the right to feel so.

But we had Boy and October in 2005-2006, while exactly 2 times a Pop song was played and just one Zooropa song was played occasionally...
And AB wasnt really represented huge either....

  10. Pretty much hope they will bring back some Pop or Zooropa and more Achtung Baby songs. Fuck the 80s.

That could work for One, but SBS is one of the most political songs they ever done, how the hell can you imagine they'd quit all political acting and references into it?
    No chance.
