Fair enough mate for the record, I was on very near the front leg of the Claw on Edge's side. That said, I've got a pretty good sonic tolerance (if there is such a thing) so what I think is good sound might not be the same for others. But I mean, I got a great feel of everything, could hear Bono clearly, Edge came through really well, Larry's drums drove it all and Adam's bass was very much unmuddied and strong. And I like a bit of echo
  2. the sound on last night in london was amazing.that was sitting behind the stage in the nosebleed seats.£35 a ticket, but the view and the sound were like top drawer tickets.

it sounded excellent behind the stage.

On Friday I was to the left of the mixing desk (I thought it would be decent sounding there) but moved down to the front leg of the claw (Adam's side) on Saturday where the sound was pretty much as you describe. It was a huge improvement. I was talking to one of the crew in the hotel on Friday after the gig and he said it was the design of the stadium that was the problem...probably the reason they opened the roof right up on Saturday.
  4. I was in Wembley on Friday 14th, up in Edge's corner (section 535, cheapest seats) and I was AMAZED about the sound, it was powerful, clear...and some of the echoes heard elsewhere (even on youtube videos) did not seem to reach us.
The bass of MOS went straight to the gut...just awesome!

It was day and night compared to Amsterdam 1 where we were seated upper tear far far away from the claw and really did suffer from some funky noises...basically could not understand a word from Bono...... boy, am I thankful for the amazing bootleg of that gig :-)
  5. Was in RZ 1 at Glasgow - the sound was one of the best I've ever heard from a stadium gig. Was a bit concerned about how 'in the round' set up would sound - had a terrible experience of Def Leppard in the round many years ago which put me off...but no complaints with U2!!

Funniest bit was the PA going down, the backline was still working so we could still just hear Edge's guitar from the stage amp and Larry's cymbals without any amplification...thankfully 'twas quickly sorted
