1. Once again, last nights show was simply amazing. I sat more or less on the corner of the stadium, quite high up, and was not disappointed. Had a great time, just like everyone around us. I've been going to gigs since 1978, and have seen some amazing, spectacular shows, (Stones, Pink Floyd, KISS in the 70's etc etc), but the U2 'Claw' set up takes it to another level!! So, from me, no complaints at all, and I feel very lucky that I'm also going to Sheffield, (standing) and Cardiff (seats).

That standard answer is pimped up with a 1st hand report from a DIFFERENT concert and 2nd hand Wembley experiences, though. So kudos for that.

Ahhh I see, the structure of a post

For my part, I enjoyed last night immensely - granted, I was on the pitch and facing the band for the most part, but to me it felt like the band went wandering quite a lot because I wasn't able to see them all the time. The bridges did move, if not that much, but it seemed to me like Bono and Edge went walking about quite a lot; didn't see THAT much of Adam because he did stick to his side quite a lot. However, that didn't detract from the performance for me - I think the whole concept of the 360 degree lark is centred around the screens etc. and having cameras covering many angles so people even if you can't see e.g. Bono physically, you can see him on the screen. For me I thought it was quite bizarre but great at the same time. Again, it's fair comment that I didn't have a seat to the non-pitch side of the Claw as sh evidently had, but the friends I referred to earlier did and enjoyed the gig as much as I did, i.e. a hell of a lot. I don't quite get what sh meant about me being spot on about something because I wasn't aware I'd made any point of note lol, if it was related to me turning down the ticket my friend offered me that was simply 'cause I didn't have the money to hand - if I a) hadn't already got a ticket and b) had a bit more money at the time (two rather telling factors in fairness) I would have snapped up the ticket he offered me; the fact it was a seated ticket was only made known to me when I arrived at Wembley and thus I'm very glad I got my GA ticket off eBay because I wanted to be able to get an experience from both standing and seating, which I'll be afforded next Thursday in Sheffield. It's sad to hear people's reviews which are generally negative and poor but everyone has a different take. To reiterate, I though last night was an incredible experience that I will forget, and I'm bloody glad I made the decision to get a GA ticket and to do everything as I did - even essentially going to a gig on my own for the first time didn't detract anything from it, and I'd happily do it all over again (although I'd make sure I had a drink with me next time lol...).

EDIT - would it be fair to perhaps close this and just direct everyone to place their comments in the Wembley thread for the sake of keeping things tidy?
  3. we always like a good rant but I am indeed a neat freak so splash your thoughts in the reviews section or in the Wembley topic.
