1. If Love is Blindness hadn't closed ZooTV, what would you have picked?

I'd say Ultraviolet. Restructuring the show to something like...

    Desire or Daddy's Gonna Pay
    With or Without You
    Love is Blindness
    Ultraviolet
  2. I've recently begun really loving listening Frank Sinatra, and also James Darren, who is a much less know singer in the same genre. Today I learned that Frank and James were great friends

I honestly can't stop singing I've Got You Under My Skin, my version is a mix up of Sinatra version, Bono/Sinatra version, and Darren version. I just love singing in this style and I'm pretty good at it too, I think

maybe because of habit but i think that the end of ZooTv was perfect as it was .. i can't think of another song being played after Love is blindness .. that final solo is from another dimension.
and Can't help falling in love was a good going into the outro.

Nah, I wouldn't go with Ultraviolet. I'd actually go with One to close ZooTV if LIB hadn't finished.

  5. I liked it in the beginning. Way too predictable at the end, probably caught a lot of people off guard. Plus, then it's like you KNOW its over, and thats just sort of it. Keeping it in the madness of the high-energy opening gave you a chance to really channel it all and pour more emotion into it, IMO.

I'm gonna stick with UV. Something so magical and celebratory about the song seems a good way to bring a show to an end.
  6. "Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight myyyyyyy waaayyyyyyy", it just sounds perfect to end a show. I'm with Matt.

I would hate UV to finish a ZooTV show. It's perfect where it was.

Actually, come to think of it, Desire wouldn't be that bad if it finished the show. Y'know with all the money and "That's all folks!"

Agree with you on Desire, Thats all folks is a cool way to end a show imo.

One of my sons does a great Sinatra voice. He even did a Sinatra song for his Idol audition back in the day.

  11. Cool. It surprised my how quickly I found out to sing like him. For me he's a lot easier than Bono!
I also found out that my range is bigger than Sinatra's, so he won't give me those kind of problems, which I get from B-man.

I think I'm gonna try to write a Sinatra-style song now
  12. My "Sinatra-song" has turned into a guitar tune instead Oh, and I'm writing it the "U2-way", some kind of melody first, a lyric that's just a sound and no words yet... I wonder if Bono can come and improvise some magic?
