Hahahahahaha! He bought it and then realised only six weeks later the ink is too expensive. You don't say.

I remember in the Elizabeth OW I saw one guy who wanted XP on his brand-new laptop. He really got into the poor salesman who didn't know what to say. Is Vista truly that bad? Had he had a choice of Linux (and me too) I'd have gone that for a new laptop.

  4. I'd say the show from the 26th is even better actually.

Yeh when vista was still around people hated it, when u go from XP to Vista it is a massive slap in the face, vista is so shit in comparrison, luckily windows 7 is a lot better so we dunt get people asking for XP anymore
  6. 30th > 26th > 27th > 31st

It's the adjustment that's the problem. People weren't ready for Vista, and when as a company you keep an OS in incubation for 5-10 years, introduce concepts that were scrapped in the early 90s and then do a half-arsed effort of them and constantly release betas and alphas which actually worked better than the final release and so many things removed and added with old code left behind, eventually it doesn't work as well as it should.

Then the various companies around e.g. ATI, Logitch, Nvidia, HP etc not ready with drivers, that's just weak. Microsoft can't force them to be ready but they can force themselves to release a working product that people want to use? When W7 came out, I couldn't wait - but I hated the Libraries thing in W7. Still do but thankfully you can change that with a few minutes of registry hacking.

XP's still not bad if you just want a proven OS - but again, new things don't work so well with it. Also agree on the 30th being the least exciting night. Sure, all four shows are excellent and up there, but the 30th just isn't as exciting. Given if I'd had the chance in 1989 (I'd only been around a year) I'd have been at all four nights.

  8. Haven't seen that...I'll have a look around the joint.

    G'nite man take it easy.
  9. Right now burning the All I Want Is U2 bootleg for the car, the last Lovetown concert
