  1. Well, last thu-mon was a holiday. And now we have a theme week in school. I have music all day. It's 100% awesome Tomorrow me and a friend will probably record some sort of acoustic guitar and voice duet. I love singing
  2. Ah we got the queen's birthday holiday - if nothing else, I figure a four-day holiday is a great excuse as anything, so the queen gets a thanks from me. A theme week in school sounds like great fun - it'd be killer I reckon. How cool, they never did anything cool besides multimedia studies in school where I spent lessons creating videos, setting up computer rooms and hooking up all the networks and building the computers.

    Now that was fun! I haven't recorded anything in ages because my voice is entirely gone so that's fucked. I can, however, make breathing sequences so I guess it's something. It hurts at the moment when I talk but oh well, sure it'll come back soon (I hope!). Listening to a few new albums I picked up today and some Bruce.

    You gotta record that duet and get it up here!

  8. I feel like recording something... That means I have a decision to make on what song to play/sing.
  9. It sounds good. Warren's actually written some fantastic songs, even though a lot of people say her stuff is way too cheesy. Sure it is, but it's nice.

    She writes a lot for Meat Loaf since the Neighbourhood album - Not A Dry Eye In The House, Cry Over Me, If This Is The Last Kiss for example. Also she's written a couple of songs for Aerosmith and I think also one called How Do I Live, a great pop tune.

    I'm a much bigger fan of Jim Steinman though. He's incredible - Diane Warren tries to match him but she, like many other writers, just can't. Who else could write a song called In The Land Of The Pigs The Butcher Is King and have people thinking it's really about pigs and butchers.

    The singer in that video, Russell Watson, is amazing. I'd say look him up. He's a self trained singer/tenor, sings a lot of opera. He's made me discover opera, I usually have problems with the real tenors, the sound "too opera" for me. But Russel is amazing.   11. Ah yeah, I have seen some of his stuff before. Actually, one of my favourite songs and I'd like to record it one day, properly, is something from 1972 called More Than You Deserve. Any of the songs from around that time I'd like to try and do - because they're big operatic-style songs, and long too.
