1. That version of Ultraviolet was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I loved the end of the second verse. So sad to see they cut it short. Props to U2 for bringing that one out, albeit at the end of the show. Show it off for some of the casual listeners. What do you guys think about the choice of Breathe and MOS?
  2. comical pic of U2 at 2:16

    you are a trooper.

Horrible by NBC. I don't buy the "strict schedule" stuff....all they had to do is cut off a skit or two- which all were horrible- and allow U2 to finish their 4 minute song. I think their ratings went up just because of all the U2 fans tuning in...nobody really watches SNL anymore....

I Know, Thank You!! As time draws closer it's getting harder to stay away from footage and pics! I just briefly look at setlists!! Agh.....

I'm used to shows like these cutting off last performances! It sucks!!
True, though I don't watch SNL anymore and I wouldn't have tonight if U2 weren't on!! Haha!

wow....you are dedicated to your cause. I'm sure you could search a 360 virgins thread and my name would be up there. but I gave it up a long while ago.

Getting back on topic, I was quite surprised by the setlist. Great call by U2 to do Ultraviolet. I bet the swinging on the mic was a real crowd pleaser in that little TV studio, just wished I could watch the full performance (it was the only reason I watched the show).

Breathe was ok. MOS was excellent. A passionate performance for sure.
  10. Breathe

    Agreed!!!
Those were some lucky people in that studio! Must be cool to see U2 in such an intimate setting!!
Hearing Ultraviolet Live on SNL could possibly be classic!! And I'm getting soo pumped for more U2...
