    I'm in Canada and I managed to get one, though I'm not pleased that one of the tracks (Crazy) doesn't play correctly. I would really love an album like that though and I think it would be a good idea to capitalize on/capture arguably their greatest tour. After all, live is where they live.

    And really I wouldn't be terribly upset if they featured Crazy from Croke since it is not widely available and I feel like it is a great performance.
  2. I'd rather have a full-fledged album with 11-12 great-hard worked on songs produced in a studio. We already have tons of bootlegs available to us, so why do we need an RnH type album? I'd rather see them release a new body of work than an album of half new work half thrown together live bits.
  3. i went on a 'new-song youtube spree' b4 and watched all the news songs back to back. i rekon they r all great (even glastonbury) and would like them released in a non live version. they could either release a new studio album with the 6 songs we know plus 4/5 others.

    Or(this is what id love them to do) they could do a R&H styled record and give us studio versions of the 6 new songs along with sum live recordings from the tour of songs from NLOTH and a few others like UV. Then down the track they cud release a studio album with 11 brand new songs.

    No Glastonburry please ... just use the arrangement and write completely new lyrics about what is/was going on in Egypt ...

    Instead of The Flowering Rose of Glastonbury it could be The Flowering Jasmine of Egypt

    EDIT: The second part of my post is a joke, I mean no disrespect and I´d like good lyrics that I´m sure Bono can write!
  6. Glastonbury could make a quality B-side especially with a good solo.

    Also - Stingray needs to make it on an album. It has a similar feel to that of And The Gods Made Love which is a short album opener, but one of the best album openers I've ever heard. RoTSG sounds like it could work well into a high-energy song.

    - A Boy Falls From the Sky (Batman musical)
    - Bouncing off the Walls (Batman musical)
    - Turn off the Dark (Batman musical)

    He also mentions SOA, with a track called The Sacred Heart of Malibu. He calls it a medidative album.

  10. The band is sounding pretty confused right now...so let me get this right...they are working with RedOne, Danger Mouse and Will.i.am on 2 albums? 3 if they are even considering SOA with Eno/Lanois?

    Is it me or does it seem they throwing a bunch of things at the wall, then looking around to see if anybody is nodding approval? This could be a disaster!

    It may turn out that after flirting with these various directions, they then just run to Steve Lilliwhite to wrap it all up in one confusing package (I'd rather they go to Eno, but I think Eno would do the wise thing and press "refresh" on all this confusion...then we'd get a new album in 2015). They kind of did the same thing with NLOTH (it could have been a cohesive album if you ditched the Lilliwhite tracks like Stand Up Comedy and Crazy and put in songs like "Soon," etc...I digress.)

    Anyway...if they do got this "throw everything at the wall" route, here's the best case scenario: it flops.

    Then Bono goes through an exorcism where the monkey on his back screaming for pop hits FINALLY goes away and they spend their energy on making the music THEY want to MAKE, instead of on trying to guess what the CHARTS want to RECEIVE.

  12. I'm tired of the SOA rumours and news. From now on, I won't pay any attention to anything until it's an official statement by U2/Universal.
