1. YES! LOOOL! I saw this before and laughed my arse off! xDD
  2. Accurate cartoon. Can't blame him either.
  3. It's disgusting how true that Cartoon is though... I'm going to follow Sergio's suit and not even follow anything on here it's kind of depressing. I'll find out when we get a new U2 song/album like a normal person via Facebook, Twitter, Rolling Stone, Music feeds, etc.

(No I'm not leaving U2start just going to calm down on checking for new album updates)
  4. I've been doing that for a couple of weeks now. Not getting excited by anything and just calming down, listening to new music etc.
  5. I've read the last pages and you do forget one simple thing : age.
You can't expect a bunch of 50 year olds to be as productive, creative and fast as a 20 to 30 year old. Compare it with your own jobs. Slowly every one of us will start to do things at a slower pace. And trying to enjoy life instead of running after that bright fire of ambition inside of you.
    So does U2.

Plus, it's probably much harder to write some great lovesongs when you're married and settled down for years. Harder to write epic protestsongs when you're sitting at the pool of one of your giant mansions. Harder to write energetic themes when you've got everything you desire. Because face it, U2 is a group of millionaires. Not 4 curious rebel boys from the 80's or early 90's, discovering the world and trying to take it. Everything has been discovered and everything has been taken.

So, if anyone still believes another Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby is in the making, please think again.

I don't think that at all, I just think because it's obvious that there isn't another AB or JT in the making the band should stop spending so much time trying to make that happen.

    Well Springsteen still can
  8. Bono: The band? Uhm, we're nearly there, I think -- though this can change. There's no sense from the band of any commitment to any release schedule, any ... to anything. They just want to be really -- make some great music.

But I think we're nearly there, and once we're there we'll know it. I'd like to think that next year, there'll be a U2 release.

I mean, it sounds like we've been flaffing around, but actually what we've -- what's just happened is that we just got lost in the music and went right back to why we wanted to be in a band in the first place -- listen to the music of the mid-70s, punk rock, electronica -- we're really sort of beginning again.

I know we do this periodically, but you have to. And so ... it's very different, very fresh sound, and some beautiful songs ... big hooks ... and yeah, you'll be sick of us. I hope!
