Yes, these shows are amongst their best ever. I remember this story where Bono forced his voice too much on the Amsterdam gig on the 18th of december, only a few days before the Depot-gigs. They had to leave the stage early and Bono rushed to see a doctor in an Amsterdam hospital. This doctor told him to keep his mouth shut for a long time, since he had a serious laryngitis.
I'm still glad that Bono was so pigheaded and didn't listen to this man, otherwise we wouldn't have had these amazing shows. I listen to them very often. From the Depot shows I got the 26th and the 31st (actually, it should be 1990-01-01, but okay) and from both shows I got two copies: one for listening to at home and one for listening in the car. When I get in my car at 6:15 am in the mornings, I'm always wide awake at the first few notes, yelling along.
An official DVD is way, way, way overdue!

  2. Twenty-first anniversary coming up. These shows will never get old, ever.

The other 3 are great too, specially the 26th, but the 30th has something special with me. Ah, and it contains the best WOWY, BTBS, RTSS and ever, and one of the few She's A Mystery To Me live, and, and and...

    SImply perfect.

    Let's start the LLPDS Platform!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(a.k.a. the Long Live Point Depot Shows Platform )

I've listened to it again tonight, as every 30th of December since 2006. This bootleg has so much power over me. There has not been a single time that I haven't cried during Running To Stand Still / Dirty Old Town, during the Love Rescue Me snippet, and during the best WOWY ever.

  4. I think I might be more impressed with your post itself, Sergio, and how you embedded those audio links as opposed to the actual songs!
  5. I don't actually have the 30th on my iTunes! I don't know how that happened, but which version should I download then since I'm in a LoveTown mood <3
  6. THe only version we currently own It's an awesome show, it's even been regarded as the best Dublin show ever. Enjoy it

All of them are good, but I personally like the NYE Show and the 26th
  8. 26th is my favorite.
