One of their best ever performances. I never get tired of listening to that one version.Streets from that night too is my single favorite performance by them, ever. Just pure raw power--amazing.
Yes, these shows are amongst their best ever. I remember this story where Bono forced his voice too much on the Amsterdam gig on the 18th of december, only a few days before the Depot-gigs. They had to leave the stage early and Bono rushed to see a doctor in an Amsterdam hospital. This doctor told him to keep his mouth shut for a long time, since he had a serious laryngitis.
I'm still glad that Bono was so pigheaded and didn't listen to this man, otherwise we wouldn't have had these amazing shows. I listen to them very often. From the Depot shows I got the 26th and the 31st (actually, it should be 1990-01-01, but okay) and from both shows I got two copies: one for listening to at home and one for listening in the car. When I get in my car at 6:15 am in the mornings, I'm always wide awake at the first few notes, yelling along.
An official DVD is way, way, way overdue!

It's an awesome show, it's even been regarded as the best Dublin show ever. Enjoy it
Do you think U2 will revive songs from this era? (U2gigs says God Part II and Love Rescue Me weren't played from then on)
