Obviously "Black Hole Sun" is a classic on a certain level but, yes, it was overplayed on MTV/radio back in the day and I don't think it's THE song that a casual observer should associate with the band.
wondering which song the nowadays casual obsever would associate with the band ..
what is their Vertigo? hehe i hate myself for having said that .. fuck me hehe ..
if there's one of course hehe
Seeing that they haven't released much over the past 15 years (until now, of course) I don't think SG has a "Vertigo"...at least not yet.
I have been discussing SG with a few of my colleagues at work who are about our age. They only know/remember "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman." Not a single song from BMF comes to their minds.
sadly true .. most (if not all) of "casuals" didn't know them neither by the name i guess .. just read somewhere in these days ..
it's quite normal that Superunknown songs are the ones reminded by people, not fans, of that (our sigh hehe) age, being Black Hole Sun (and the album) almost everywhere .. not the same for Badmotorfinger
