1. I just typed a message detailing my EPIC FAIL in my attempt to get SG tix. And that message somehow got lost in the ether.

I swore in my original message and I'll swear again.

    Fuck.
  2. When is the Dortmund show broadcast on Rockpalast? Normally it's Sunday night CET right?
  3. Oh, are they broadcasting that one, too? I didn't know that. We'll have to keep our eyes open for a downloadable version afterwards.

(I'm doing my best to forgive them for today's fiasco).
  4. what went wrong? .. no code? tickets pulverized on public sale?
  5. The password was "KingAnimal2012" - for everyone! Supposedly it was leaked on the net before the sale began and it appears that most people didn't have a chance at getting the tix in the first place. The savvy scalpers snathced most of them up. Who even knows how many were up for grabs in the first place!

I was on ticketmaster at 11:55 (tickets weren't on sale at the time) and kept refreshing the page every 15 seconds or so until the tickets were finally available. I quickly, yet carefully, entered all my info and human verification passwords within seconds but the tickets were all gone by 12:01.

    Dammit.

Many SG fans (ones MUCH bigger than me) are very pissed
  6. That sounds like a right mess.
  7. I should have seen it coming...I know Soundgarden isn't "U2-big" but their return is certainly gettng a fair amount of media attention and the probability of getting two out of about 1000 tickets in the densely-populated Toronto-area was quite low.

It still stings, however. I really wanted to see this show. I will not, however, be purchasing tickets from the scalpers. The price will end up being WAY too high. Hopefully they'll play a bigger venue in the spring/summer.

that method really sucks .. same pwd for everyone is a wedding invitation for scalpers .. more than 500 albums could have been pre-ordered with that purpose but just one could have "won" all the 1000 tickets .. not fair at all
feel very sorry for you Matt
  9. if you can Ed...
