Let me just say this about King Animal....Matt Cameron has never sounded like this with Pearl Jam...he has taken his drumming to a new level..or back to the high level of Soundgarden,not that he isnt great with PJ......but......listen to him on Non-State Actor or By Crooked Steps or Blood On The Valley Floor...one word..astounding.....

    Cornell....just amazing.,as always....K.Thayil's hammer type riffs are fantastic,as are Shepherds pounding bass lines...My wife has always liked Soundgarden/Chris Cornell..not PJ...she plays Songbook alot..its a great acoustic album by Chris C......so,she has really rubbed this release in my face......but,you no what.....I also LOVE THIS RELEASE...

  4. No King Animal yet at my house but really, hype it for me. I'm easily influenced so if people (especially ones with musical tastes I respect - yes, that was a compliment, Ed) say it's great, then it will be!

Taree sounds like something off Superunknown Matt.Yes,its that good.Its a great listen,from start to finish...Kim is all over this release....as are the rest of the band..Blood on the Valley Floor is amazing...as is Bones of Birds..just such a solid release,its as if they never left.........and really....who can ask for anything more ?

    The more you listen to King Animal,the more the tracks bury themselves in your head..it just gets better....

    Bottom line : King Animal is a beast !!!

  7. Tonight: The Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto.

    Do you think my wife would mind if I snuck oout of the house before we put the kids to bad and paid some exorbitant amount for a ticket to this show?

  10. Listened to the album for a second time today. I like it, but I'm not as crazy about it as Ed is.

    Try Stub Hub...sometimes day of the show,people will unload their tickets fo under face value.

  12. Keep at it..spin it again and again..you will like it......my first listen, I was like this is too loud.....then I got it..its Soundgarden....so it should be loud.
