And now I've seen multiple tweets/updates from others in the U2 community saying that the report from SLC truck driver is that the tour will resume in Minneapolis -what? That isn't what I said!

Don't worry, I also saw a report that stated McGuinness had said for u2.com that the whole North American leg has been postponed ... People always read too much into what is being said/reported. We see what we want (others) to see.
Anyway, thank you for your work. It's been nice following your posts these days.

Oh, and let's hope Bono gets well soon.
  2. Just a general musing here (I haven't combed through the other pages to see if anyone else has suggested this), but I wonder if this happened because of something he did with the Ultraviolet swinging mic...
  3. I don't mean to sound saccharine or preachy, but could I ask that all the people of faith on these boards say a prayer for him?
  4. Just came out of surgery myself today to read this which took me by surprise.

I knew he had back problems for many years but from the way he was jumping around on the earlier legs of the 360 tour it looked like he got it finally sorted. Seems like all it wasn't fully sorted and it just gave out again. Terrible blow for bono as we know he likes to dance around on stage and the band but no doubt he will have the best team of doctors looking after him and will be in the best care.

    Hope he gets recovers well.

  5. wow i don't come online for most of today and when i do everything has gone totally wrong...

i cant imagine how bad greg and all the people in slc must feel. i'm sure it will be re-scheduled but that's going to be of little comfort at the moment...

and as for bono i dont know what the nature of his back problems are but i hope he gets better soon. maybe larry can lend him some of his bulls blood.... (if worked for him!)

posted my initial thoughts on the potential glastonbury situation in the dedicated thread so wont repeat myself here

  6. You should probably write Bono and tell him you've been through much worse.
Geninuely hope he gets well soon.

I'm not convinced it will be rescheduled. I just can't see when the Claw could be set up in SLC again. I've seen too many other artists initially postpone a show, only to cancel it in the end - and those happend without a "claw" to set up!

I'm so sick with worry about it all right now. I had myself so pumped up over the past 5 days of filming and keeping everybody updated. Now I'm just sick to my stomach about it! Ugh. It is such a disappointment. The worst!

    gg

  8. I understand, unfortunately everbody loses in these kind of situations.

Only thing we can do is hope for the best
  9. ok never mind not appropriate

  10. could they not set it up again after the 19th july/some time in between the end of the 3rd leg and the start of the 4th?

u2.com have said it's postponed (not cancelled) and to hold onto tickets so don't worry something will be sorted out! i know it's an absolute bastard when you've been building up to something and it gets taken away but it will happen - you'll just have to wait a bit longer.. just imagine how good it will be though when it does finally happen - they will pull out all the stops and put on an extra special show to make up for it!

    chin up mate!

Thanks for the positive talk - I'll hang onto it and try to remain hopeful.
  12. It's funny how I hear this the day my back hurts.
