    just curious

    I don't think that's correct...
I hear it too everywhere... something like "the band was rehearsing in Munich for a show of their 360° tour in Germany" which is totally incorrect ofcourse !

Btw what i've been wondering about...
So Bono was spotted at Munich earlier this week for an appointment with a chiropractor and now he had a surgery in the same city...
Which, imo, means Bono will have had a small accident and needed to be treated before it got worse...? But nothing VERY serious, seen the time betwime he's been spotted in Munich and the operation... Remember the media always loves to exaggerate and put words like 'urgency' more then needed...

Maybe it's a bit naive of me, but i really believe it'll be something like that...
And let's hope it is, he might be jumping around soon then

I'm thinking that they'll just use Glatso as the opening of the tour, now, and finish off the rest of the dates afterwards, potentially adding a "micro-leg" of the postponed shows.

Get better soon, Bono. If your own words can heal hearts, hopefully they can heal your pain and your spirits too

i hate to say it, but i broke my back in a fall from a roof and it took upwards of 3 months to rehab.
hopefully its nothing that serious, but i expect the recovery will be lengthy no matter what.
though i'm sure bono had access to great doctors any back injury does indeed take time
i feel for him, they suck. the pain i experienced was worse then a kick to the groin
  3. I hope he gets better soon!

And not just because I've had tickets to the Seattle show since December...

Take care Bono and get well for your family! Your kids need a healthy dad!
  4. From the U2miracle's twitter:

"Jaime Rodriguez has published in his Twitter account that he spoke later today with the doctor Aaron Geiger, from the Jackson Memorial Hospital. He told Jaime that there are two kind of back injuries: espondilolisthesis and cervical radiculopathy. Both have their own sympthoms, causes and treatments.

This injuries have a recovery time of betwen 2 and 8 weeks; the patient can hardly recover in less than a month--a month and a half. In case of the Bono's injury (and assuming it's from the second type of injuries), his movement on stage would be considerably limited until he's perfectly recovered."

I did my best with the translation
Don't know if it's important enough but I'll try to keep you all updated from everything that's said on the wide U2 spanish-speaking world
  5. Espondilolisthesis isn't the easiest word to translate that made perfect sense though. That's useful info though thank you still not the best but could be worse, my aunt had back surgery and couldn't work for 4 months and then there's BelgianBono's story....
  6. Say bye bye to Glastonbury, unless Bono sits in a chair. Latenight tales with Bono...
  7. Bono with not take 3 month of convalescence,

The Evenko Construction director have said that the two show of Montreal is not affect
  8. So would Bono go out and perform if he couldn't run around and jump and swing from the Ultraviolet mic, if he could just walk around/stand in front of a mic? Or no? I dunno...
  9. Maybe it's not as bad as we think. I go with BelgiumBono in this

  10. He'd tell the same story at least twice.
  11. Here is a story about bonos doctor

He thought it was all over . . .

Golfer José Maria Olazabal, winner of the US Masters in 1994, was in despair that his career had ended when he came to see Müller-Wohlfahrt in 1996. He had spent 18 months unable to play, suffering, according to some specialists, from arthritis. At home, he said, the pain in his feet and legs often reduced him to crawling round on all fours.

He visited Müller-Wohlfahrt after a chance meeting, having visited countless other clinics in America in the previous year.

“It took me a whole day of examinations and blood tests,” says Müller-Wohlfahrt, “but after that he sat there with his manager and I said José, I see a way. I have a little hope that I can help you. He looked at his manager and sort of shook his head as if to say, I’ve heard all this before. I said, just give me three days, then you go home, see if you feel better, and if you do you come back again.”

The rest is history. Olazabal did indeed feel better. Müller-Wohlfahrt had identified that, in fact, the problem was trapped nerves between the discs in the golfer’s lower back. He came back for two weeks’ treatment involving dozens of tiny injections in the back, legs, feet and toes. “There was bad, bad inflammation and he believed it was rheumatism and he would never play golf again,” says Müller-Wohlfahrt.

After his treatment finished Olazabal resumed playing and won the Masters for a second time in 1999. “When he won he held the green jacket towards the East — he showed it to Germany! Later, he brought it here to show me,” says the doctor. This year, Olazabal was competing at the top of the scoring board of the Masters again.

  12. I know this is a bad back and thats total differant, but it reminds me of how fast bono has bounced back before:

Bono takes a fall sept 20, 1987 in DC. The warrior he is, back on stage 2 days later on 9-22-1987 Boston.
