1. Some become "fanboys" and the subjectiveness of the release(s) keep them/us form losing interest in the band.

    That said, I agree, too.
  2. ^Adding to my previous post, I think the last three releases vary from very good to pretty good. I wouldn't call any other the three "great."

Their concerts? Well, that's a completely different (better) story!
  3. Compared to Pop they will always fall short unless it is a masterpiece. Having said that I believe that NLOTH is a step in the right direction.
  4. NLOTH is underrated for what it is minus a few cliche and cheesy lyrics. Case in point is 'Unknown Caller'.

HTDAAB has some great songs on it. A Man And A Woman, Crumbs From Your Table, Yahweh, Miracle Drug, One Step Closer...
  5. Didn't like the singles from that one?
  6. I only listen to Love and Peace... and sometimes Vertigo. Fast Cars and ABOY are ok too... This is my least favorite album.

  7. I wouldn't think Drew liked a single the band had released since 1984 other than probably something from Zooropa and Pop!

I love everything from Zooropa and Pop!!! Nearly everything from JT, R&H (there's about half that album I'd skip including some studio cuts), Achtung and Original Soundtracks (I LOVE THAT ALBUM!!!) to me is great work.

Boots was by far the best single from NLOTH.
  9. I like it very much...for what we expect from U2 maybe it was an average album ...but if it was from another band sure it was a great album

Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, Original Of The Species are awesome

Vertigo and City Of Blinding Lights are good but the live performances give a special touch

Love And Peace Or Else , Yahweh and Fast Cars are ok ...I love Fast cars live

All Because Of You , A Man And A Woman ,Crumbs From Your Table
and One Step Closer are weaker than the rest but not bad for me
  10. A lot of the HTDAAB stuff was better live.

That truly was an album put together 'to play live'. NLOTH, with the exception of NLOTH, Breathe and Boots is not really a live album - it's more a studio construction.

And a damn good one at that.

The "problem" with many singles (at least for me, anyway) is that they tend to get overplayed and, in many cases, you get sick of them after a while. However, I also have to take into consideration that it is these songs that made a particular album (especially "Bomb") so popular in the first place. Then I am left with the feeling, "Do I really like this song or do I just like it because I am supposed to?" Songs like "Vertigo" and "Mysterious Ways" (I know, wrong album) fall into this category for me.
