A moderate form, you seemed to imply something like Iran.
  2. No. All I was saying was that the use of the sharia is a missed opportunity to put the state on a secular base and to make a clear cut from the ancien regime (that used the sharia, too btw.)
  3. If the "ancient regime" is Gaddafi's, no they didn't, they used Gaddafi's own little interpretation of everything. The Jamahiriya.

If you mean the old king, I'm sure they did.

  8. Yeah seems to be very good informed, while the rest of you seem to be very naive.

One thing that you have to understand is: when western countries deicide to act somewhere in the world, it's because they have some material interest in it and because they can make money out of it. Just forget that NATO or USA or UN fights for democracy and stuff like that.

I already spoke about this - 18 years ago Srebrenica massacre happened, the biggest one since WWII. UN could stopped it, but didn't. They were too busy drinking and dancing (literally!) with murderers.

Ok, Gadaffi was a mass murderer. Does anyone know how many lifes he took? I don't know. But I know that USA and NATO soldiers killed 110.000 CIVILIANS in Iraq since 2003 and nobody gives a shit. Nobody talks today that USA had massive debt towards Gadaffi and that now this debt is gone.
