1. lovely discussion guys
  2. We see more defections from the Assad regime every day now. Feels like it's bound to crumble eventually.

  3. The whole Syria matter is less and less prominent on daily news feeds each day (here at least). It seems as if they had reached a status quo where nobody knows what to do, nobody does anything, and nobody cares eventually.

    not a good sign.
  5. The politicians are still really active though. Loads of meetings.

I am at least still checking news on Syria all the time.
  6. Why must Israel whine about anti-semitism when someone doesn't like them? Do they think they're the only jews in the world and that they represent all of them?

I have nothing against Jews in general. I however do have something against a country that oppresses loads people... Okay, you know the rant, I'll skip it.

That's what happens when religion and state are not separate. They consider themselves the jew government, not the government of a region called israel.
The same happens with Iran, and that's why you hear our "leaders" whining a lot about how mulims are mistreated and ...

    I agree with you.

Netanyahu has some kind of messianic complex and keeps investing huge amounts in army and bitching how everyone hates Jews etc. He even said things like: "We will attack Iran to prevent another Holocaust!" That's just insane, because you rule your country by putting fear into people.

But I read somewhere that he has very low support in Israel these days, and that almost no one supports his claims against Iran. But, the lower support he has, the more radical he's becoming.

    Anyway:

My friend knows a girl from Palestine that goes to college here in Croatia and she said that whenever she wants to enter or get out of Palestine, she's held for three days (!!!) on the border.
  9. Marco Rubio was on The Daily Show again today. He's definitely my favorite Republican, he's like politicians should be. Talking politics and what they want to do and the difference between that and what others want to do. No big stream of bullshit coming from him like from most politicians. I may disagree with him, but he's a good politician.
  10. That's what happens when there are 9 weapons for each 10 persons in your country. That means that a lot of people has a gun. And, based purely on statistics, some of that fucking many people is bound to be mentally unbalanced or handicapped one way or the other (it would be stupid to think that all of the mentally unbalanced belongs to the 10% of the population who doesn't have a gun, huh?), and end up causing some damage with that weapon. That's all folks.
  11. This one may have been more personal, it was at 0400. Not a common time for the 'average' shopping center shooting.
